all和whole表示“全部”，用法上有所区别：all用于修饰不可数名词或复数可数名词。all位于定冠词、指示代词、物主代词及名词所有格之前。whole用于修饰单数可数名词。whole位于冠词、指示代词、物主代词及名词所有格之后。

但可以说the whole of China
4. 代词+all或all of+代词
We all love China.
All of us love China.
5.all 还可以修饰表示时间的单数可数名词，用于表示整段时间。
all (the) year / the whole year
整年
all (the) summer / the whole summer
整个夏天
注：
hour和 century 之前一般用whole而不用 all， 如：
I waited for a whole hour.
我等了整整一个钟头。
